ASPA Members:
We would like to make you aware of four upcoming meetings that may be of interest to you and your companies.
California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) will convene two teleconference/webinar meetings of the Green Ribbon Science Panel (GRSP) to advise DTSC on the framework for the Green Chemistry Regulations for Safer Products, as illustrated by a draft Regulations for Safer Products Conceptual Flow Chart.
The meetings will be held:
1. March 11, 2010, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. PST
2. March 15, 2010, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. PST

3. DTSC will also be convening another public workshop to solicit public input on the framework for the Green Chemistry Regulations for Safer Products, as illustrated by a draft Regulations for Safer Products Conceptual Flow Chart (attached). The workshop will take place on March 16, 2010 in Sacramento and via Web cast.

4. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) will convene a Hazard Communication Standard Proposal Public Hearing on March 31, 2010.
The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. and will be held at:

Those interested in attending the hearings must provide a notice of intention to appear by January 18, 2010. Notices may be submitted through the Federal eRulemaking Portal at http://www.regulations.gov. Notices can also be submitted by regular mail to the OSHA Docket Office:

The deadline to receive the special group rate at the hotel is this Friday, November 13th. As previously announced, the Automotive Specialty Products Alliance (ASPA) will hold its 2009 Winter Meeting, December 8-9 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The meeting will once again be held in conjunction with CSPA’s annual meeting at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort. We already have a strong agenda coming together and ASPA hopes this meeting will have a bottom line impact for all of its members.

Hotel Arrangements:
Headquarters hotel for the Winter Meeting is the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort and Spa in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. A block of rooms has been set aside for CSPA/ASPA meeting registrants with rates of $219.00 - $239.00 - $249.00, plus taxes. To receive the meeting rate, registrants should make their own reservations with the resort prior to November 13, 2009. All reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card. Attendees who wish their companies to be billed for hotel expenses must make prior arrangements with the credit manager of the resort.
